Major Function: Coordinate all service aspects related to convention, meetings, group activities and banquets booked through the sales office.

The Catering Sales Manager assists clients in the selection of food and beverage menu using upselling techniques to maximize revenue. They will contact clients to confirm meeting dates, times, number attending, and hotel meeting room requirements. This Manager follows up regularly to receive updated information and obtain guaranteed commitment. The Catering Sales Manager communicates to respective departments to ensure delivery of service, arranges and conducts pre/post-convention meetings with appropriate hotel departments to assure that all client needs are met, inspects meeting room set-up to assure compliance with client specifications, and serves as a host to the group upon arrival. The Catering Sales Manager is available to assist with any client needs that may arise during his/her stay. The Catering Sales Manager may assist in sales efforts of the hotel through phone calls and obtaining leads from sales files, publications, and advertisements. This manager handles call-in business and inquiries for prospective clients.
