▪ What is Columbus considering regarding Building Performance Standards? City government is pursuing a sustainability initiative which would include requirements to improve energy efficiency. This is beyond the benchmarking requirements which already exist. They could include specific performance targets for commercial buildings with fines and other enforcement methods.

▪ Work on legislation to help address crime impacting hotels, including auto break-ins and thefts. OHLA is supporting legislative efforts to create more effective penalties for offenders who victimize hotels, their guests, and associates.

▪ Collaborative opportunities to increase travel business, including a proposal for a new Ohio – Heart of it All visitors’ pass, community celebrations of America’s 250th anniversary, and more.
